5 K Run + 10-Minute Alternate Run

I went out for a training run after work.
I ran 5 K at my new full marathon target pace of 5:15/K.
I then did an alternate run (1-minute jog + 1-minute fast run) for 10 minutes.
Altogether I ran about 7 K in 38:11.72.
The details are as follows:
1st 2.5 K: 12:44.46
2nd 2.5 K: 12:56.20
Alternate Run 2 K: 10:00.00
Cool Down 0.36 K: 2:31.06
Total 7 K: 38:11.72

I really like this new training regimen of mine.
I can check my running for while running at comfortable full marathon pace.
I can elevate my heart rates significantly
to stimulate cardio quite a bit by doing intervals.
I can kill two birds with one stone in less than 40 minutes.
I will be doing it more often.
